Why I Wrote the Book

My father, Andrew L. Pansini, was a pioneer to the swimming pool industry. He invented the world’s first automatic pool cleaner at his family pool in Marin County, California in 1957. This was an invention that changed an entire industry and helped to put millions of swimming pools into residential backyards.

He was the son of an Italian immigrant who started the first parking lot in the world in 1917 in Los Angeles, California. I grew up living the story and watching it develop every day. It is a great American story of hard work, dedication, inspiration and entrepreneurship. It is a story that I needed to share.
